Aurora. The parenthesis of South Florida. The Florida Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean face the mirrors of light. The peninsula that lies between is one of the most humanly diverse areas of the USA. These shores draw the community at sunrise and sunset.

Auroras are light shows caused by the sun, magnetic forces, and dust. Florida’s long coastlines are a magnet for reflections of light. The constant rotation of humidity and moisture creates intense light shows every morning and evening. The land is flat, a poster child for climate change.

Aurora attracts you if you have ever lived in Southeast Florida. You have been there, walked the path, and soaked your soul in light. These places are close to intense traffic yet produce so much peace.

The power of Mother Nature.

My friends and I believe there is absolutely nothing salt water cannot fix. A deep dive, a long soak, and a good ocean float seem to fix life’s problems – if only a little. Being close to the light in twilight, the wind in an afternoon thunderstorm, or a hurricane makes you appreciate your absolute insignificance.

Changing light measures time. Light means time. The solstices measure change by timing the light. Light is everything. Light is color.

Aurora has found a wonderful forever home with someone who spent many years in Southeast Florida.
