Blowing Rocks State Park is in Jupiter, Florida. It was Thanksgiving Eve, a spectacular day full of wind and emotion. That night I would be making my famous Pumpkin Chiffon Pie with Pecan Gingersnap Crust while face timing my offspring. This is the first Thanksgiving without at least one of them with me. Sipping great wine and eating too much – the parade and the Dog Show. 2020 broke all traditions.

My life is blessed with precious friendships so I am never alone. Thanksgiving morning my friend, Georgeta Fondos and I had a picnic breakfast on the beach. Late afternoon Thanksgiving dinner outside with dear friends just around the lake from me. I did not miss cooking Thanksgiving dinner at all! I’d rather be painting! Painting at Blowing Rocks Park is the best therapy of all.
