Qian means “the creative” or heaven. Before there were letters and words, the Chinese made ideographs; Qian is the first ideograph of the I Ching.

I have incorporated markings and images from my life as symbols of growth, chi, and sun.

Silverpoint is an ancient technique that involves drawing with silver. Powerful delicate markings are available with a light touch. The silver tarnishes as it ages…becomes warm and shiny.
