Windsong Winter Snow Abstraction is inspired by the early morning light that shines through the woods at my new home. I am blessed to have large windows with incredible southern exposure. This means I get light shows from sunrise to sunset.

The snow mirrors the light and plays with warm and cool relationships. It will take me a lifetime to truly experience the translation from my eyes to my palette to my brush. A daily awe-inspired gasp that I truly enjoy.

It is cold now, and I still have a lot of boxes to go through. I try to hike as much as possible. There will be more opportunities as it turns warmer, but I am in visual heaven.

I will continue to play with mark-making and atmospheric experiments. I want you to feel present in these paintings. The light just lasts a few minutes.

And…it will start the show a lot earlier as the year progresses. I can’t wait!
